Procedure information

Lipofilling is a method that makes it possible to preserve youth and beauty for a long time, make the facial skin supple again by eliminating wrinkles and folds, improve the shape and size of the lips, and correct skinny calves and featureless buttocks.

  • Cosmetic defects of the body (contour flaws, small buttocks, skinny calves);
  • Age-related facial defects (wrinkles, folds, thin lips, pronounced lacrimal grooves, scars);
  • Insufficient breast volume or cosmetic defects (details here)

Fat grafting (Lipofilling)

The surgical procedure is performed under local anesthesia in combination with intravenous anesthesia and consists of two stages:

  • Harvesting and processing of fatty tissue
  • Injection of fatty tissue into “problem” areas.

The fatty tissue is harvested through miniature punctures in the abdominal area, which then heal without leaving visible scars. Using a special method, the fatty tissue is processed and injected with micro-needles into the deformed parts of the face and body. Then, the injection sites are bandaged for a day.

Lipofilling is an out-patient procedure, meaning there’s no need for admittance into the clinic. You can resume your normal daily activities immediately after the procedure. There may be some localized swelling, which will subside in 4-6 days.

Lipofilling (fat-grafting) of the face

Comments by the plastic surgeon A.Ukrainsky: “At recent plastic surgery conferences, many papers have been devoted to the topic of lipofilling - the injection into the subcutaneous layer of specially-prepared fat cells harvested from other areas of the same patient. It’s an effective technology for improving the proportions and fullness of the mature face: in the visca, the upper eyelids, the eyebrows, lips and cheeks. Just 10 years ago, this method had a questionable effect, since the surgeons couldn’t overcome the low tissue survival threshold. Today, thanks to modern technical equipping and a wealth of practical experience, the problem is successfully solved in the overwhelming majority of cases. Also popular is the opposite procedure — liposuction, which envisions the removal of excess fat in the area of the chin and cheeks via its vacuuming, as well as the removal of fatty tissue through an “inside” incision on the lower eyelid. That said the skin of the eyelid remains untouched. Taken together with the laser-rejuvenation method, we get an exceptional result while avoiding intensive surgical intervention.”

More about lipofilling

Lipofilling with the patient’s own fat cells is a known technique that has been practiced for more than a hundred years. Modern methods and the latest advancements in cosmetic medicine have made it possible to significantly optimize the method, making it absolutely safe. The result of the procedure now lasts for an extended period of time.
